The Choice is Yours

The choice is yours, and yours alone- unless you tell your lover about your little escapade... then he may have a preference!  When I decided to start shooting glamour I really needed to define what that meant to me.  Below you should get a clearer picture of what I view as glamour, boudoir, and pinup.  What shoot best shoots you?  Own You, ladies, it's the only you you got!

Glamour:  Glamour is all about your face, you are beautiful and this shoot works for every woman, period.  We will shoot from your mid-thigh and up, the most flattering poses will be used, and your comfort is our top priority.  Glamour hair and makeup will include most commonly tousled curls or a slight up-do, a light or smoky eye, rosy cheeks, and a nude to light pink lip.  In attire, this can range from a formal dress, to a sequined shirt, a simple tube top, a satin robe, or even a plain T, what makes you feel glamorous?  You may need pearls and don’t forget those earrings.

Boudoir: A boudoir shoot is based on the French word for a “woman’s bedroom or private space,” and so this shoot will be light, airy, and romantic, with your comfort level of sass.  Boudoir hair and makeup will include tousled curls or beach-y waves, a smoky eye to best compliment your features, a light cheek and your choice of a nude lip or saturated tone.  The attire for a boudoir shoot can range from a string thong to a nightgown, cheeky undies and a long-sleeve T to a bra, garter belt and matching undies.  Contrary to popular belief- a boudoir shoot is not about shooting nudes.  Leggings are fashionable right now- and are incredibly attractive on most women.  Don't be afraid to try what feels sexy to you- I love creativity and new ideas!  Again, this shoot is based on your comfort level, nude photographs will be discussed on an as needed basis. A satin robe with gorgeous panties often makes the sexiest photos, what says sexy to you?  Every woman has what it takes to shoot a gorgeous boudoir session for herself or the significant lover in her life.  Remember to wear jewelry(often the bulkier the better) and heels, glorious heels- big here- and know that you don’t have to keep whatever you buy- you can try it and decide that it isn’t a “forever item” in your closet.

Pinup: Baby, don’t be a drag, you’re a fox and we’re going to have a gas.  Pinup shoots are just as you’re imagining- the 1940s and 50s, lay it on me, toots.  In pinup, you should expect your hair and makeup to be straight out of the 1940s and 50s- pin curls and teased tailored bangs, a light eye with heavy lashes, a pink cheek and the perfect toned red lip for your skin type.  Find a lovely costume or even piece together the perfect outfit that reminds you of the 1940s or 1950s, these shoots work well with props- so plan around what makes it all come together and be sure to pack it in your bag.  Again, jewelry and heels matter here more than you know.
